About Walker Dermatology

Walker Dermatology was founded to bring comprehensive, patient-centered dermatology to the people of Saskatchewan. Our research centre, where highly monitored medication trials are conducted, is the only dermatology research centre of its kind in the province, allowing us to continuously improve outcomes for people affected by more complex or challenging skin conditions.

  • Dr. Kirsten Walker, MSc, MD, FRCPC

    DERMATOLOGIST, MEDICAL DIRECTOR

    Dr. Kirsten Walker is a community and academic dermatologist and the principal investigator at Skinsense Medical Research.

    Completing her dermatology residency program at the University of Toronto in 2020, she holds a combined honours BSc in Immunology and Biochemistry, an MSc in Community Health and Epidemiology and an MD all from Dalhousie University in Halifax.

    In addition, Dr. Walker is an Assistant Professor at the University of Saskatchewan, with a leadership role in the undergraduate medical education program. She provides medical students and residents with both didactic lectures and hand-on clinical training. Dr. Walker also works as a Consultant Physician at the Saskatoon hospitals.

  • Dr. Kerry Gardner, MD, FAAD, FRCPC

    DERMATOLOGIST

    Dr. Kerry Gardner completed her undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree, and then her Medical Degree, at the University of Saskatchewan. She completed her residency training in Dermatology at the University of Saskatchewan and the University of British Columbia. She is double board certified in Dermatology as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC), and as a Diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology (DABD).
